Have you ever regretted a hiring decision? How do you ensure that you select the right applicant when hiring? What do you do when you need to fire an employee? In this session, attendees will learn about the various laws that apply when hiring employees including Title VII (discrimination), the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the ADEA (age). Attendees will also discover strategies to use before, during, and after the job interview to select the best applicant. Finally, participants will explore how to properly discipline and fire employees to reduce the risk that former employees will file claims.
