The Floriculture and Nursery Research Initiative (FNRI) is a unique research partnership that provides a means for the USDA-Agricultural Research Service (ARS) to direct funds in a managed way to research emerging and long-term critical issues identified by the green industry like boxwood blight disease and water quality. The FNRI fund has increased since its inception in 1999 and currently directs $6.25M annually toward key research priorities.
