Farm Bill Debate Takes Center Stage in Congress

It looks as if new Farm Bill legislation will dominate much of the May Congressional calendar, with the House preparing to bring its bill to the floor on May 14 and the Senate hoping to introduce its version by the end of the month.


House Agriculture Committee Chair Mike Conaway is trying to whip the 218 votes needed to pass the bill in the House.
