H-2B Relief in the Omnibus, Sort Of

The “omnibus” spending bill that Congress passed and the President signed on March 23 contains language that could, but does not yet, spell relief for employers who have been hoping for more H-2B visas. As of mid-March, the Department of Labor had certified almost 77,000 positions to be filled by a temporary H-2B visa worker, but only 33,000 visas are available.
