Congress Passes $300 Billion Budget Deal After Brief Shutdown

President Trump signed a massive two-year budget deal and short-term spending arrangement on Friday morning, following an hours-long government shutdown amidst a volatile night on Capitol Hill. The bill will fund the government through March 23 and allows almost $300 billion more for the military and various domestic programs over the next two years – blowing through stiff spending caps which had previously been in place.
